IMMIGRANT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Balon Mundial is the first football tournament for immigrants in Turin, which this year comes to its third edition.

There are 28 participating teams representing their countries and about 600 football players living in Piedmont.

Balon Mundial means not only competition, but also intercultural communication, not only competitiveness but also cross-cultural contact. Balon Mundial is a different wor(l)d of integration and a particular way of playing football.

For this reason it includes a series of social and intercultural aspects such as a sticker album of all the football players taking part in the tournament, a guide book of the sport facilities and activities offered by the City of Turin, a photo contest and an introductory course for sport commentators.
Last but not least a “Field of Cultures” and music and dancing from all over the world.
